The three graphs below capture relationship between economic (and social) activities and subjective well-being. The first graph (Graph-1) captures relationship between GDP (per capita) and Satisfaction with life, across different countries and four islands: Gizo, Roviana, Niijhum Dwip, and Chittagong. The Graph-2 captures three different measures of subjective well-being (Satisfaction with life, Affect Balance and Momentary Affect) across the four islands, which have different levels of monetization (Index). The Graph-3 captures levels of thirteen different socio-economic activities across four islands.
Notes given with the graphs: Index of monetization = percentage of table fish sold outside the islands. Momentary affect = the mood captured at various points in a day over several days. ESM = Expressed Sentiment Method. Life Satisfaction and Satisfaction with Life are the same. N represents the number of respondents to the survey on each dimension across the four islands.
[Graphs 1-3 (scatter of GDP per capita vs satisfaction with life, box plots per island, and radar charts of 13 activities per island) are on page 12 of the source PDF.]
