PrepTarget (“we”, “the site”, “the app”) offers free practice questions and mock tests at preptarget.com and in its installable app. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account details – your name and email address, and a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) when you register.
• Practice and test activity – the questions you answer, your answers, marks, time taken and mock test attempts, so we can show your scorecards and progress. You only get saved results when you are registered.
• Visitors without an account – you can practise without registering. A small cookie on your device counts how many free questions you have checked today (for the daily free limit). Some attempts may be tied to a temporary placeholder account until you register or the session ends.
• Technical data – standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site running.

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, your contacts, your precise location, photos or files from your device.

How we use it

• To run the site: sign you in, save your results, show scorecards and progress.
• To enforce the daily free-question limit and protect the site against abuse.
• To improve the questions and the experience, using overall (not individual) usage patterns.
• To contact you about your account if needed (for example a password reset email).

We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party advertising.

Cookies and similar storage

We use cookies and local storage that are needed for the site to work: a session cookie to keep you signed in, security (CSRF) tokens, and the free-question counter described above. We do not use advertising cookies.

Sharing

Your information is shared only with the service providers who host the site and its database, and where the law requires it. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

Keeping your data

We keep your account and results for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all data linked to it at any time – see how to delete your account.

Security

Passwords are hashed, the site is served over HTTPS and access to administration is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

The site is for exam aspirants. If you are under 13, please use it only with a parent or guardian, and do not register without their permission. If you believe a child has given us personal information without permission, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can view and update your name and email in your profile, delete your account, or ask us about the data we hold. Contact us at the contact address listed on this website .
